A quick sketch of Supercharged James Sprinter which at the moment is only a frame with tank and forks I also have a KTR side valve JAP engine Arnolt supercharger and carb,front wheel and rear hub and sprocket.and a handful of other bits and bobs. more photos later
The newly built by Pigsty Racing full race engine.
New en40b forged crank, remetaled rods, Honda pistons, thick wall en39b gudgeon pins, fully ported block with oversize n214 plasma nitride valves, pigsty race cam, high compression modified head, bead blasted & painted crank case with steel main bearing flange, lightened fly wheel & clutch assembly and hi flow oil pump.
Seen here being fitted with a water pump and associated plumbing before installation. The engine is mated to a newly built three speed close ratio gearbox and running through a rebuilt three piece back axle with a 5.125 ratio.
Stripped down to rebuild front suspension and brakes. Five rebuilt 19" wheels with new Longstone 350x19 Two races old.
At the same time new kingpins and bushes ,track rod and draglink ends were fitted along with a new steering arm from a batch of newly forged ones stronger than the originals. A reverse camber front spring and dual competition friction shockers helped to lower the car at the front ,flat springs at the rear and a rebuild of the friction shockers gave a uniform ride height. All the wheel bearings and seals have been replaced with modern high performance items .The front brakes have been rebuilt with new Girling drums with new shoes and bonded linings new brake cams and cables , rear brakes re lined and re built
